Required documents for all visa categories

Please note that the following essentials must be met by all applicants submitting their applications for visa.

Passport Criterias;

	Valid for at least three months beyond the intended stay in Greece,
	Should contain at least two empty visa pages available in the passport for visa and/or permit sticker,
	Should not be issued longer than 10 years ago.
	Souldn’t contain North Cyprus or Ercan Arlines’ stamps

If not, a new passport must be obtained before submission of your application.

Before Arriving to the Center;

VFS Izmir Visa Application Center will accept VIS applications (fingerprints given after 25 September 2014) from Travel Agencies only between 13:00 – 14:00 o’clock. 

Applications can be submitted, earliest, 60 days before the foreseen departure date. If there is longer than 15 days before the departure date, the application can not be submitted.

Passport cannot be valid for more than 10 years. Prolonged passports will not be accepted. 

Minors (applicants, under 18 years told) can not submit their applications without their parents or legal tutors.

Due to security reasons only the applicant will be allowed inside the application centres. Any accompanying family, friends etc. must remain outside the Center. 

Processing Time;

Processing time for Ankara is approximately 15 days and can be longer depending on the procedure in Embassy. A visa application can be submitted by the following applicant himself.

Processing time for İzmir is approximately 10 days and can be longer depending on the procedure in Consulate.

VFS Global has no say in visa decisions taken by Embassy of Greece, in Ankara and Consulate General of Greece in Izmir and Edirne.

Long Stay Visas;

Long Term Visa Applications must be submitted directly to Embassy of Greece, in Ankara and Consulate General of Greece, in Izmir ,Edirne or İstanbul.

Short Stay Visas;

Short Stay Visa Applications can be submitted to VFS Global Visa Application Centers;

Applicants who wish to submit their applications to Visa Application Centers need an appointment taken online or from our Call Center: 0212 373 58 26. There is no need an appointment taken for Ankara VAC

Important Annoucement:

The Greek Consulate is examining meticulously all documents submitted for Schengen Visas. Fake documents concerning the personal status of applicants (economic,family status etc) will have as a consequence that the applicant is registered to the consulate's local database or even to the Greek national police database.
